Maine 2011 Evening Light

Sunset

Yellow Sky

Self Portrait Among the Stones
"Red sky at night...." truly foretold the wonderful weather we had during my visit to Harpswell.  The evening light was beautiful, but disappeared quickly as we traipsed between islands for a last night shoot.  More shots in the flickr photostream.

New York Nights

Lex Av

Deli Stop

Over the Fourth of July weekend, Jim took me to New York City. Our major destination was MOMA, which was exhibiting Pictures by Women: A History of Modern Photography.
We traveled by MegaBus and stayed on E 56th Street, between Park and Lexington. Most everything was within walking distance for us. Over the next few days, I will be posting the photography I did during that fun four-day stay. I love New York! More in the flickr photostream.

South Side Nights

Carson Street

Last Friday, Silver Eye hosted a night photography class led by Martha Rial (http://www.martharial.com). My classmates and I walked around and shot the streets, shops and other sights along Carson Street for three hours. Martha was always available for sage advice and artistic suggestions. The weather was dry and warm and the subjects were lively. Our shoot was followed by a critique the next day. We had a grand time and learned a lot!! More shots in the flickr photostream.

Where it was warm and snow free!

Into the Sea

Amazing what a difference a month makes! As the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh predicts another snowstorm, I thought it would be warming to post a picture of a Florida sunset. Friends, spring happens!! More warm thoughts in the flickr photostream.

Image of the Day

Central Park

What beautiful scenes New York City offered the first week of November, 2009! The weather was crisp and dry and fall was in full bloom. Walking and taxiing around town was great fun and the urban setting was a treat to shoot for this suburban gal! More shots in the photostream.
