New Photographs and Cards at Gallerie Chiz

Silos

Midwest Farmland

Columbus Circle Reflecting Pool

Spa Stairway

Earlier today, I met with Ellen Neuberg at Gallerie Chiz to drop off some new pieces.  The above images represent the Iowa and New York City series now there as matted prints.  I also dropped off 50 note cards and three framed prints from the Off-Season series.
Please check them out when attending the First Friday festivities on Ellsworth Avenue, or, whenever you are out and about in that area.  The gallery is eclectic and exciting with lots of Pittsburgh artists represented.  The website is http://www.galleriechiz.com/.

Ohio Farm Series

Farmhouse

I have a great interest in photographing old things; especially things that might not be there very long. One of my recurring subjects is Ohio farms. Several of this specific series appeared in the Black and White at 56 project, but before that were on exhibit in the New Works Gallery at Silver Eye Center for Photography in July of 2007. The series continues in the flickr photostream.

Rural Ohio

Corn Stubble

Bluebird Box

Last week, I visited my son in Ohio. We traveled to Loudonville to see his friend who's family raises Angus beef cattle. They have a beautiful spot, lovingly tended. We traveled to Charm next to photograph some of the farming community. More of the day in the flickr photostream.

Image of the Week

Iowa Corn Field and Silos

I just spent five great days on the road with my friend, Lynne, and her dog, Walker. We headed west to pick up another dog and saw the most wonderful countryside en route and back. It is amazing how much corn and soybeans are planted across Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Iowa. The weather was perfect and the people were wonderful!
