One Way

Last Saturday night, I was invited to join friends for dinner on their deck after a day already filled with an art exhibit and wonderful artist demonstrations.  What a treat the whole day was!!  A fellow guest invited me to hold her fish eye lens against my compact digital lens to test it out.  The pictures above are the results of that experiment.

Art All Night, April 30, 2011

My Panel

Saturday into Sunday was the 14th Annual Art All Night in Lawrenceville.  The organization of the event was phenomenal - what a well-oiled machine!  This was the first one I attended and I enjoyed volunteering for registration and as a mingler.  I also really enjoyed the art and the ambiance.  Looking forward to next year already!
You know I couldn't be in a partially demolished site without taking photographs.  More in the flickr photostream.

Ford F 500

Right Front

Right Flank

Another photo op in Lawrenceville on 38th! The lot is owned by a saver of great stuff - sinks, lawn chairs, mantels and this historic vehicle. It is a Ford F 500, formerly owned by the Gaston County, NC police. It last passed inspection in PA in 1992. What a beaut! More in flickr photostream.

Last Friday, I had lunch with a friend in Lawrenceville. Walking back to my car, I found some shots that interested me. More in the flickr photostream.

Lawrenceville Blue Things

Stoop

Yesterday, I took a walk around a small bit of the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh. The flowers in people's yards and along the alleys blew me away! I also enjoyed getting some new streetscapes and adding to my blue things collection. More in the flickr photostream.

Laundry Line

Cobblestone Vista

McCandless Avenue in Upper Lawrenceville, a neighborhood of Pittsburgh, offers some wonderful sights. Pittsburgh is in its second, multiple sunny day period of March - a real treat after the February it endured. I found it fun to go exploring on this street that shares the name of my maternal grandmother's family. Probably no relation! More pictures in the flickr photostream.
