Working on a project using grave stones .....

This is the second post related to graves in the last week.  I am not thinking sadness, so much as honor and remembrance of loved ones.  There is a lot of reverence for beliefs and beauty in my thought process as I incorporate my photography into a  fabric piece for an upcoming exhibit. Memorial Day Thoughts 2014

Revolutionary War Veteran

Family Plot

Last June, during a wonderful trip to Boston, I visited the town of Dedham, MA with my Aunt Anne Stone.  We toured an old graveyard decorated for the Memorial Day festivities near the town common.  Although I have photographed a lot of graveyards around Memorial Day, I had never seen Revolutionary War veterans' graves decorated.  What an historic area!

White Chair Series August, 2013

Last August at the cabin, I finally did one of the series that I had been thinking about - the White Chair Series.  I love the old chairs at the cabin.  My Aunt Barbara Moran had the wise sense to spray paint them all the same color even though they differed in style.  I dragged one of the chairs around with me a few times and came up with an interesting series, I believe : )  We will begin our Potter County adventures soon and I look forward to dragging my wooden muse with me to other unsuspecting spots.
